Living in the midst of homesteads and forests adds entertainment to daily life. Case in point, the other day a giant turkey tried to make our chicken coop his home. He seemed pretty friendly so I'm assuming he just wandered too far from his own pen. My bf and I went to a new neighbor of ours who owns some goats and chickens and asked if he belonged to them. He didn't but with nowhere else to go, they would give him a home. They assured us that he wouldn't end up on any dinner plates either. :-)
